This vintage Ngombe Tribe Wicker War Shield boasts intricate designs and expert craftsmanship and is a work by the Ngombe or “water people” in Bantu, Congo. Meant to protect the warriors whole body as-well as remain light enough for quick mobility in combat this piece was simply handwoven with bast fibers and includes some darker fiber patterning. Wall mounting has been added to the back for easy display. Own a piece of history with this authentic and beautifully crafted war shield.
